Terms of Service for Verity
These terms govern your use of Verity, HalaDefense's Chrome extension for fact-checking AI responses. Effective May 27, 2026..
What Verity does for you
Verity reads AI responses in real time, checks them against reliable sources, and shows you a verdict badge with citations so you can trust what you see.

Reads AI responses
Verity detects and captures text generated by AI tools in your browser automatically.

Sends to verification
The text is sent to the Anthropic API to cross-check facts against reliable, up-to-date sources.

Shows verdict badge
A clear badge appears next to the AI response indicating whether the content is accurate, outdated, or needs caution.

Provides source links
Each verdict includes direct links to the sources checked, so you can verify the findings yourself.

Works in real time
All detection, verification, and badge display happen instantly as you read AI responses online.

No data stored
Verity checks your text but doesn't save, store, or use it for any other purpose beyond verification.
Verity is a tool, not a guarantee
Verity can produce inaccurate or outdated results. Never make critical decisions based solely on its verdicts. Always verify important information independently.
How you can use Verity
Verity is designed for personal fact-checking of AI-generated responses. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or use the extension for commercial purposes without permission from HalaDefense.
Limitation of liability
HalaDefense LLC is not liable for decisions made based on Verity's verdicts, incorrect verdicts, or service interruptions. Use Verity as a research tool only, not as sole grounds for action.
