Effective Date: May 27, 2026 About This Policy This Privacy Policy explains what data Verity collects, what it does with it, and what it never does. Verity is a Chrome extension built by HalaDefense that automatically fact-checks AI responses in real time.

Data usage

How we use your data

HalaDefense sends AI response text to the Anthropic API solely to verify factual accuracy. This text is never stored, logged, or retained by HalaDefense anywhere. The result is returned directly to your browser and displayed as a verdict badge. Anonymous verification counts (correct, wrong, unverifiable) are stored locally in your browser only using Chrome's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to HalaDefense or any third party. You can delete it by removing the Verity extension. Verity uses the Anthropic API for all verification. AI response text is processed subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy at anthropic.com/privacy. Verity uses no advertising networks, analytics tools, or tracking services of any kind. What Verity Does NOT Collect: Your name, email, or any account information Your browsing history or activity Your questions or prompts sent to AI platforms Passwords, payment information, or credentials Your IP address or device identifiers Cookies or tracking data of any kind Children's Privacy Verity is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy at any time. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest update. Continued use of Verity means you accept the updated policy. Your Rights Since Verity does not collect or store personally identifiable information on any server, there is no personal data to access or delete.
